Sonique

Product Design

Brief

While in college, I co-founded Media Science with my long-time friend and brilliant engineer Andrew McCann.  Together, we built several media-oriented software products together, culminating with Sonique.  Sonique was one of the very first software applications to employ a user interface that was non-rectangular.  It included several operating modes and the slide-out EQ drawer, features that would soon find their way into a myriad of other products at bigger companies.  Sonique had hundreds of millions of users around the world, was featured in hundreds of articles and was ultimately acquired by Lycos, Inc. in late 1999.
